The Town Center Park has Gwinnett County’s largest interactive fountain called “Big Splash” right next to the Suwanee Public Library – it has 43 jets and uses 1,400 gallons of recycled water each minute. The park also holds special events and an amphitheater that holds up to 1,000 for concerts and other performances.

Hewlett-Packard recently built a $45 million data center here, and the Mitsubishi plant has plans to add more jobs.

As of 2010, the population is approx 15,355. There were 3,144 housing units at an average density of 320.5 per square mile. Gwinnett County Public Schools operates schools in Suwanee.

Suwanee home owners enjoy lots of parks and green space including the Suwanee Creek Greenway a four mile trail with wooded areas and wildlife habitat. The Suwanee Creek Park is a 85-acre park used mainly for family picnics and other reunions. Playtown Suwanee was built by 1,200 volunteers 2004.  The kids call it “the playground my mommy and daddy built.”  The Sims Lake Park, opened in 2008, has a 7-acre lake with a looping trail.
